Job Description

1. Assist Head- Sales & Marketing in developing a robust sales and marketing strategy for his/her own project/product segment through analysis of data on market trends and customer requirements

2. Provide inputs to Head- Sales & Marketing for overall pricing strategy for his/her own segment

3. Monitor adherence to the Sales & Marketing budget for his/her own product segment and take corrective action in case of any deviations

4. Establish sales targets for sales teams in his/her segment in consultation with Head, Sales & Marketing in alignment with IDMC’s business strategy

5. Design and implement plans for increasing the market share and profitability for own project/product segment through analysis of market intelligence/ trends

6. Oversee all data gathering activities including intelligence on market potential evaluation, performance of IDMC offerings vis-à-vis competitors, and trends in customer requirements and behaviours

7. Define the sales approach and the optimum offering mix as per the market intelligence received to increase profitability and market presence of IDMC in his/her own segment

8. Position IDMC as one the preferred vendor for providing service / Annual Maintenance Contracts for equipment / installations

9. Formulate a marketing plan for all promotional and marketing activities for his/her segment and drive adherence to the same

10. Monitor all marketing and promotional activities to check alignment with the overall business strategy

11. Monitor all proposal making activities for business development - coordinate with Projects, Products and Electrical, Instrumentation and Automation teams for exchange of information for the same

12. Participate in different industry forums / association and improve branding / visibility of the organization

13. Ensure timely goal setting, monitoring and review of performance parameters and feedback to team members

14. Oversee training and capability building of employees of the department

15. Develop the capabilities to take on higher responsibilities while performing the given / in-charge responsibilities at various levels within the functions

16. Monitor the performance of employees within the department and take necessary interventions to improve performance
